THE CREATION Created by Christine Nagel, Hermès's perfumer, the eau de toilette Un Jardin à Cythère is a surprising garden, not green nor flowery: it has the color of the sun. The expression of an olfactory journey through the Peloponnese that leads to Cythera, an unspoiled Greek island that has inspired numerous artists. THE OLFACTORY NOTES Citrus and woody fragrance, the eau de toilette Un Jardin à Cythère combines the enveloping character of grasses with the strength of olive wood and the tenderness of fresh pistachio. THE OBJECT The bottle, designed by Fred Rawyler, is inspired by the lines of vintage car lanterns. The glass comes alive with a bright yellow gradient, evoking the solar fragrance. On the case, artist Elias Kafouros draws a colorful landscape of his native land: the golden grass, the green of the olive trees, the pink of fresh pistachios, and, in the background, the blue of the sea.
