In the countryside of Armorica, the Korrigans run at night. They come to pick juniper berries and wild hazelnuts. Then, in dark caves, they distill barley into heady spirits. They spice them with saffron, musk them with ambrette, perfume them with lavender. At the solstice festivals, all will drink their elixirs from leather wineskins, to stagger body and soul.
