Hermes Eau d'Hermes was imagined in 1951 by Edmond Roudnitska around a citrusy, spicy, floral theme. Eau d'Hermès is the first perfume of the house. It draws inspiration from the evocation of a wonderful scent: 'the interior of an Hermès bag in which the aroma of a perfume lingered... a note of fine leather enveloped by fresh citrus and spice effluvia", commented the creator-composer at the time.
