The ripe wheat still bent yesterday in the summer wind. Now the golden sheaves are beaten in the threshing floor and the burlap sacks are filled with golden grains. In the shade of the woods, having put down their sickles, the young women drink from the living spring. In the evening, with the boys, to celebrate the end of the harvest, they will dance in the warm night. The street vendor passed by yesterday: on the girls' skin, the orange blossom blends with the violet and the jasmine. The blouses of rough canvas give off a musky odor.
